FNU hopes to develop a Short Course on Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology in 2022 which will help past graduates in updating knowledge and skills.
This course carrying 10 Credit points (100 learning hours) will be delivered on blended mode in four blocks (each of one week duration) with gaps in between. The Certificate of Attainment awarded will be regarded as a microqualification for future studies. It is also possible to obtain regional accreditation therefore this course goes beyond a CPD activity.
This refresher course is highly recommended for dentists (3yrs after BDS) either in hospital or private sector in the smaller Pacific island countries. Some course contents will be delivered by overseas specialists.
Online sessions will be delivered via the FNU Moodle online platform as a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) while participants can nominate local supervisors for the face-toface clinical cases.
Participants will experience a novel approach in learning and teaching through collective learning initiatives in the MOOC platform.
